To jednak nie koniec – do gamy modeli dołącza bardzo udany przedstawiciel popularnego segmentu crossoverów segmentu B. Oczywiście mowa o Seacie Arona. Seat Arona – większy niż się wydaje Seata zbudowano na bazie Ibizy, ale pomimo bliskiego pokrewieństwa, wnętrze nowego ceossovera, a szczególnie tylny rząd siedzeń, oferuje znacznie więcej miejsca. To za sprawą kilku centymetrów różnicy pomiędzy tymi autami – crossover jest o 8 cm dłuższy i o 11 cm wyższy od Ibizy. Dodatkowe centymetry bardzo dobrze wykorzystano. Z tyłu jest odczuwalnie więcej miejsca na kolana i nad głową. Dwie dorosłe osoby mogą tu podróżować w naprawdę komfortowych warunkach, nawet jeśli kierowca i pasażer, siedzący obok niego, wygodnie ustawią swoje fotele. Narzekać można jedynie na zbyt krótkie siedziska z tyłu, ale u innych rywali jest podobnie. Większy niż w Ibizie jest także bagażnik – ma objętość 400 litrów, czyli mamy do dyspozycji dodatkowe 45 litrów. Wnętrze Seata Arony nie jest zaskoczeniem. Znamy je już dobrze z Ibizy. Oczywiście jak to w crossoverze, w Aronie siedzi się nieco wyżej, dzięki czemu lepiej się do niej wsiada. Tylko że dzięki dużemu zakresowi regulacji fotela kierowcy, w żadnym innym znanym mi małym crossoverze nie da się usiąść tak nisko. Dla mnie jest to niekwestionowany plus. Nieco gorzej jest jednak z widocznością. Charakterystyczne, ostro ścięte lusterka boczne Arony okazują się niezbyt praktyczne. Zarówno w nich, jak i przez małą tylną szybę, niewiele widać, a to dość mocno utrudnia manewrowanie. Dlatego przy zakupie radzę odhaczyć opcję z czujnikami i kamerą cofania, która - tak na marginesie - daje bardzo dobrej jakości obraz. Seat Arona – długa lista oszczędności W najbogatszej wersji Xcelennce, którą jeździliśmy, wnętrze wygląda dobrze, a w każdym razie zdecydowanie lepiej niż wskazywałaby na to niska jakość użytych materiałów (twarde tworzywa). Razi jedynie plastikowy panel zastosowany na centralnej części kokpitu, biegnący przez całą długość deski rozdzielczej. Plastik nieudolnie udaje aluminium – wygląda to dość tandetnie i razi w tak bogatej wersji wyposażenia. Narzekać można też na jakość pseudo skóry użytej na kierownicy:jest niemiła w dotyku. Nie wszystkim także przypadnie do gustu cienki wieniec kierownicy. Po kilku dniach jazdy zaczynają też kuć w oczy inne oszczędności. Papierowa podsufitka przywołuje w pamięci najtańsze wersje Fiata Pandy pierwszej generacji. Przy żadnych drzwiach nie ma też rączek do trzymania lub zawieszenia wieszaka. Co więcej, z tyłu nie ma ani jednej lampki dla pasażerów. A to nie koniec – Seat Arona to pierwsze auto, w którym w opcji z bezkluczykowym dostępem (dopłata, w zależności od wersji, od 867 do 1951 zł), zamki można odblokować i zaryglować gestem dłoni wyłącznie od strony kierowcy. Czepiam się? Nie robiłbym tego, jeśli chodziłoby o podstawowe wersje, ale my rozmawiamy o najbogatszej wersji Xcelennce za ponad 90 tys. zł! Z drugiej strony kabina i kokpit są zaprojektowane zgodnie z zasadami ergonomii, mamy wystarczającą liczbę schowków, w tym podwójną podłogę w bagażniku i szuflady pod fotelami, a obsługa przyrządów pokładowych oraz systemu multimedialnego (moim zdaniem grupa Volkswagena dominuje w tej dziedzinie) jest prosta i logiczna. Seat Arona – jeździ jak auto o rozmiar większe Jeśli chodzi o prowadzenie Seata Arona, to na pewno należy on do ścisłej czołówki wśród małych crossoverów. Prowadzi się bardzo przyjemnie, łatwo i pewnie – nawet przy wyższych prędkościach. Niewielki Seat nie jest zbytnio podatny na podmuchy wiatru i zaskakująco stabilny. Równie dobrze radzi sobie w zakrętach. Seat Arona TSI 115 KM wersja Xcellence Mimo wyżej położonego środka ciężkości, Arona pewnie skręca i prowadzi się przewidywalnie. Po części to zasługa niezłego układu kierowniczego i dość sztywnych ustawień zawieszenia. Jednak w przeciwieństwie do wielu SUV-ów, zawieszenie zachowuje tu wystarczający stopień komfortu (mowa o wersji na 17-calowych obręczach). Z drugiej strony jest na tyle sztywno, że jazda poza asfaltem dla podróżujących Aroną pasażerów stała się dość męcząca. Seat Arona – Skazani na trzy cylindry Seat, albo raczej szefowie z Volkswagena, prowadzą dziwną politykę co do specyfikacji Arony. W zwykłych wersjach Arony dostępny jest jeden silnik – 3-cylindrowy benzyniak w dwóch wersjach mocy: 95 i 115 KM (dopłata 2700 zł). Choć w mocniejszej odmianie jednostka radzi sobie nieźle i delikatnie traktowana nie zdradza zbytnio swojej natury „trzycylindrowca” – do ok. 3700-3800 obr./min. jest bardzo cicha – to już przy dynamiczniejszej jeździe, z czasem do uszu pasażerów, zaczyna dobiegać nieprzyjemny „rechot”. Znacznie rośnie wtedy też spalanie. Za to w przypadku spokojnej jazdy na trasie można zejść do około 7,5 l/100 km – wskazania komputera przy jeździe autostradowej z czterema dorosłymi osobami na pokładzie. Co ważne, silnik przy mocno obciążonym aucie nie ma większych problemów z rozpędzaniem się do prędkości rzędu 140-150 km/h. Jest nawet zaskakująco elastyczny, oczywiście jak na tak mała pojemność. Trzeba jednak przywyknąć do dość sporej turbodziury podczas ruszaniu spod świateł – auto trzeba wkręcać na wyższe obroty. Jeśli ktoś ma ochotę na znacznie lepsze osiągi niż 9,8 do „setki” i lepszą kulturę pracy silnika, musi już zdecydować się na usportowioną wersję FR ze 150-konnym, czterocylindrowym benzyniakiem o pojemności 1,5 litra. Tu jednak będzie już znacznie drożej – ceny startują od 83 tys. zł. Za podstawową wersję Seata Arony ze 115-konnym silnikiem trzeba zapłacić blisko 70 tys. zł. To nie mało, tym bardziej że łatwo go doposażyć o kolejne 20 tys. zł, a wtedy wchodzimy już w pułap cenowy kompaktów, w tym Seata Leona z czterocylindrowym silnikiem, a wtedy zakup Arony traci trochę sens.
